主講嘉賓簡介
方黎平，博士，加拿大瑞爾森大學(Ryerson University)機械和工業工程系教授。 2004年7月至2012年6月，擔任瑞爾森大學機械和工業工程系系主任; 2012年7月至2017年6月擔任瑞爾森大學工程和建築學院副院長。方黎平博士是加拿大工程院院士 (Fellow, Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE)), 電氣和電子工程師協會會士 (Fellow, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE)), 加拿大工程研究院院士 (Fellow, Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC)), 加拿大機械工程學會會士 (Fellow, Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering)，加拿大安大略省注冊工程師。方黎平博士于2008年8月至11月, 2017年7月至12月任京都大學文部省客座教授。現在擔任五種國際雜志的編委, 包括電氣和電子工程師協會系統, 人和控制論會刊-系統卷 (IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems) 。
方黎平教授長期從事管理工程, 工業工程, 系統工程等領域的研究。研究獲得政府部門和私人企業的資助。出版兩本專著，編輯兩本專業書籍，在國際著名學術期刊和學術會議論文集發表論文150多篇。2015年和2012年，獲得電氣和電子工程師協會系統， 人和控制論學會傑出貢獻獎(Outstanding Contribution Award, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society)，2015年獲得了電氣和電子工程師協會系統,人和控制論學會會刊最佳編委獎(Best Associate Editor Award, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society)，2014年獲瑞爾森大學傑出學術領導獎(Errol Aspevig Award for Outstanding Academic Leadership, Ryerson University)，2012年獲運籌學暨管理科學學會能源,自然資源和環境分會，環境和可持續發展最佳論文獎 (ENRE Best Publication Award in Environment and Sustainability, Section on Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment (ENRE), INFORMS)。
講座主要内容
The ability to conduct original research and to prepare and publish papers in refereed journals is an essential component for a successful career in academia. Aimed at graduate students, the presenter will first discuss the attributes of a good paper and the process of conducting original research. Then important aspects of the paper writing process including how to structure and organize a paper and the journal submission process are covered. Finally, the paper revision process in response to the editorial decisions and comments by reviewers is presented.
