講座嘉賓簡介

黃榮兵，加拿大約克大學管理研究學院教授。長期從事數學、決策科學及信息管理工程領域的教育研究與相關教學工作，主要研究方向是供應鍊管理。擔任Transportation Research等17類期刊或會議的審稿人，是管理科學及運籌學研究所（INFORMS）和加拿大工程學會（CORS）的會員。并在國際權威刊物International Journal of Production Economics, IIE Transactions, Transportation Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, OR Letters等發表20餘篇高質量學術論文。

講座主要内容

With increased consciousness on environment protection, green supply chain management, which has its roots in both environment management and supply chain management, has gained great interest among researchers and practitioners of operations and supply chain management. Government regulations and legislations play an important role in stimulating firms to produce low carbon products instead of high carbon products. Two common beliefs about mergers are accepted by academics and practitioners. First, horizontal integration reduces competition and thus causes a loss in social welfare. Second, vertical integration of members will make the supply chain better off. However, we find that, with government intervention, neither belief might not be justified.
